For most of 2026, West Bridgewater was the slowest market in our coverage. In August we wrote about its months on market. In October we called it the loosest market we track.
In November, it is the steady one.
West Bridgewater had 12 single-family homes for sale at the end of October 2026. In October 2025, it had 12. Months of inventory was 2.40, exactly where it was a year ago. Across the eleven markets in our reports, West Bridgewater is the only one where the number of homes for sale did not change.

Everyone else caught up
West Bridgewater didn’t change much. The towns around it did.
A year ago, West Bridgewater’s 2.40 months of supply looked loose next to Bridgewater’s 1.42 or East Bridgewater’s 1.13. Today, East Bridgewater is at 3.31, Bridgewater at 2.79, and Hull at 2.67. West Bridgewater is now in the middle of the pack, tied with Holbrook and only slightly above the statewide 2.19.

That matters for sellers. All year, West Bridgewater sellers were told to expect long marketing times. Neighboring sellers now face the same thing, which means West Bridgewater listings are no longer at a disadvantage against the Bridgewaters for the same buyer.
The rest of October
West Bridgewater closed four single-family sales in October, compared with three a year ago. They sold for 100.84% of asking, one of the stronger ratios in our coverage this month, and took an average of 51 days.
The average price was $636,250, well below September’s $868,000. With four sales, that is about which houses closed, not about values. The longer view still shows the year’s main trend: from April through October, West Bridgewater’s average sale was $747,125, up 25.7% from $594,269 in the same months of 2025, driven by more sales of larger homes.
The 12 homes still listed have been on the market an average of 77 days, and they are asking $852,825 on average. As in most of the region, the listings that sit are the ones priced at the top.
See our September West Bridgewater report for the four-quarter price climb behind that trend.
Selling a West Bridgewater house this winter
West Bridgewater’s steadiness is good news for sellers with ordinary, well-kept homes: the competition did not grow here the way it did next door.
Winter brings its own risk for the other kind of property. West Bridgewater has a lot of older farmhouses, homes on wells and septic, and inherited houses left empty while families sort out what to do. An unheated house in a Massachusetts January is where a slow listing becomes a vacant house with burst pipes, and a frozen-pipe claim on an empty home is one of the ones insurers fight hardest.
Bluefin Property Buyers buys West Bridgewater homes for cash, as-is, and can close before the cold sets in or on any date you choose. We are a Massachusetts company that renovates the properties we buy, so you do not need to fix, clean out or winterize anything first, and there is no commission. Look over our answers to common seller questions, then request an offer from Bluefin Property Buyers.
