So we’re here in Holbrook, Massachusetts. The address is 10 Newton Avenue. We just bought his property today. It’s a pretty awesome spot. We’re doing a bunch of things. The goal is to be in and out of here in 30 days! Come on in and check it out.
I’ll mention some stuff that we’re going to do along the way, As you can see we’re starting the clean out. Outside’s pretty awesome. We will put a new door here. Here is the kitchen, which won’t be here for much longer. We’re going to blow out this wall right here. Open up everything to the kitchen so it’s nice and open and clean. We will change out the front door to our standard flip door that I feel like we use for every project.
This is all fake stone, so that’s all but gone. What are your thoughts? Should we get rid of the fireplace area? It used to be a wood burning stove. So thoughts? Do we get rid of that? We are going to refinish these beautiful hardwood floors. We’re going to tie these hardwood new hardwood floors into the Kitchen area. It’s a nice 3/4 inch hardwood. So we’ll tie that right in.
So as we come over here, here’s bedroom number one. Begging for a cleanout. And here is the bathroom. Ripping out everything. But specifically, if you have a one bath house, you just need to have a bathtub. So we’re going to be putting a bathtub in here, a nice soaking tub, and redoing everything so it looks good.
The second bedroom is a little smaller. We’re actually going to rip out this closet here. We’re going to push this door back, which will give us I don’t know, I’d say probably an extra 2 ft in the room. And then we’re going to put a closet right here on this side because when you look at it, we got a ton of room over here. So we’re going to steal a little bit of the living room. Let’s head downstairs in the basement.
Alright, we’re going to finish this off. Make all this look nice and inviting. So here’s the finished basement. Well, soon to be finished basement.
We’re going to finish off all this area. Do some nice framing. The framing is the first thing to get done. Goodbye drop ceiling. We’re going to make that all nice and beautiful drywall. All this will be finished that you see. We’re going to come back here. New door to the wall, we’re going to call it an office unless we talk to the inspector and and get blessing to become a bedroom.
As you see, there’s a shower down here. We got the vanity and toilet and then our washer and dryer right there. So this will become the bathroom slash laundry room. Here is what we will call the office. This is the new door that would come in here. Now, how can we make this a bedroom? We need to talk to them about making this a full window in order for somebody to get out in case of emergency. That is the major part of making a finished basement and being able to make it a bedroom versus an office.
Well, that’s it! This is going to be a fun one. Like I said, our goal is to be in and out in 30 days. It’s going to be on the market beginning of May!
